This week will be considered kind of stressful for me. had to juggle alot of things, such as my CCA demo and the Hacking competition, as well as my studies too. it feels like i'm back in secondary school. On Wednesday came down to school for a while, to attend CMSK4 lesson. It was kind of important. Then after that had to head off to Novotel Clarke Quay Hotel. It was preparation day, so Daryl and I had to harden (or in layman terms, secure) our servers that we need to protect. After that headed to Plaza Singapura and ate dinner there. On Thursday was the first day of the competition. Met up with Daryl on the MRT and headed for Clarke Quay Hotel again. From there we linked up with Brandon, Nicholas and Mike. Ate breakfast, and then headed for the ballroom where the competition started. At first, our servers were ALL down because they couldn't log into our PCs. HAHA! that's because we changed it. But after that everything went okay.. The 1st day ended at 5pm.. we camped at Mike's house. Now i know how small is an apartment in Temasek Green. HAHAH! =] On the 2nd day, went there again. To continue with the competition. Daryl and I were getting damn bored, because we don't know how to attack. Even with the current database of exploits we have, it's actually quite useless. hahah. so we just sat there, and observed our systems with Log files and sniffers. I couldn't believe that I actually read all that. hahah. Competition ended at 5pm. Daryl and I knew we won't be in the top, but we defended damn well. The winner was announced after the conference, in front of top IT firms such as IDA, DSTA, DSO and so on.. And, Daryl and I got the "Best Defender Team" title. Brandon, Nick and Mike got the Best Attacker Team, AND WON FIRST PRIZE!! WOOTS!! kudos to them. we celebrated by heading to school. and all our lecturers were happy that we won. hahaha.. guess it was all worth it. Then on saturday, went to Pek Kio CC to see the first batch of freshies graded.. Seeing them grade reminds me of two things: 1) Missed those times that I almost fainted during brown grading. 2) My GRADING TO BROWN-GOLD!! aAAAHH heard from Kris that Brown-gold grading is just next month. MY GOODNESS!! that's freaking fast. but yeah. And to the freshies that graded, I'm proud of you guys. But, I expect you guys to at least help those who are going for the next grading. Help one another and move up as a whole family. =] continued training at Pek Kio from there. And unexpectedly, Sensei Harry came down. hahahah. it turned out to be okay lah. quite relaxed. but was dozing off when he starting to do some "lectures" on the techniques. haha.. but he's still one cool sensei. went home after that. Today, went for Sunday training, despite the injuries i got from yesterday's training. it was okay in the end, didn't strain myself. =] well yeah.. that sums up to what happened this week. to tell you the truth, i'm not even in the mood to blog. hahahah =]
