Back from Spec Course Phase 3. and my throat's feeling sore now. hahah. Well, Phase 3 was great! Was assigned to Platoon 4, Echo Company. Worked with Neil and Khalil from West District. Well I must say, they are an exellent group of people to work with. There was setbacks during the camp though. I lost my Crocs bag. What's even worse is that inside it, consists of my MOE Leaving Cert and my Temasek Poly Portfolio (consists of my DHL cert, RHCT cert and so on). Searched high and low for it. but to no avail, it was lost. that made me so damn down for the past 4 days. However, things like firing the GPMG during the IGTS kept my mind away from it. If you guys don't know what in the world is a GPMG, here's a pic. Yeah, i fired that (the computerised version). Man, it was seriously damn damn damn heavy. HAHA! Should have taken the M203. Somehow among all the Spec Course Phases, the third phase is the one that i'm more interested in. Not just because it doesn't clash with any of my activities, but also, it's because of the cadets in this phase. In phase 3, it is usually those cadets that are like the leftovers. and in the eyes of the cadets, they feel that they are the hopeless bunch. that's when we Cadet Officers come in: to change that perspective. As for my platoon, though they may be not the best Specialists in the NCC organisation, but to me they are. i told them, "Rank is what you get, Respect is what you earn" Above all, respect is the most valued thing. And as for rank, most of them got 3rd Sergeants. but heck, I know they did their very best. I'm proud of them. And to be their APC, it is an honour. In the eyes of leaders, I guess that's one difference between courses and recreational camps. when in camps, it's more of bonding between your camp mates and all. But as for courses, in addition to the bonding, you'll also feel a sense of achievement when they pass out of the course. despite all the shit that you put them through. in the end, it was all worth it. That's only one thing i like about courses. Because I change the lives of people for the better. That's what I like to do. Anyway, when I stepped out of SISPEC on the last day, went to TP to watch the Aikido Training. haha! everybody was suprised and started to salute me as i was in No.4. =] After that went home. I guess that experience in Phase 3, woke me up. my angelic side of me. =)) And you know what, i'm still having a crush. and it's on the same person again. I don't know whether I should make the move or not. Because she's having her own problems. I guess I should wait then.
